5. Victor Valdes
With Wojciech Szczesny facing an uncertain future at the Emirates having been dumped to the bench for the latter part of last season's Premier League, manager Arsene Wenger could be in the market for a new No.1 this summer. One option is Barcelona's Victor Valdes, who is into the final year of his contract at the Nou Camp and has already told club officials that he has no intention of signing a renewal. The 31-year-old shot-stopper
has revealed his admiration for English football, and could be tempted by a move to Arsenal and the fresh challenge that would provide having spent his whole career in Spain. Valdes would likely be cheap, too, given his aforementioned contractual situation, with some reports claiming Spain's No.2 could be available for 5 million (£4.25 million) this summer. We all know how much Wenger loves a good bargain, and in Valdes he would be buying a world class keeper at a nominal fee.
