Arsenal Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign

1. Dani Alves (Free Agent)

It can't hurt to ask, right?

With his Paris St-Germain contract having expired at the end of 2018/2019, Brazilian veteran Dani Alves is currently without a club.

The very definition of an attacking full-back, Alves has recently been linked to Manchester City and Inter Milan. But considering their issues at right-back, Arsenal should at least be asking the question of whether the 36-year-old would have any interest in playing at The Emirates.

Despite his age, Alves still has the technical ability and guile that he's always had - as reflected in him recently winning the best player award at this summer's Copa America.

Where Arsenal are concerned, first choice right-back Hector Bellerin will miss the start of the new season through injury, which in turn leaves their right-back options as Carl Jenkinson, Calum Chambers, or having versatile midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles filling in at right-back like he did towards the end of last season.

Given the regular reports of how little the Gunners have got in their transfer kitty at the moment, the lack of transfer fee involved in any deal for Alves is another reason why making an approach for the former Barcelona player is a no-brainer.
