Arsenal Transfers: 5 Reasons Wenger Must Sign Diego Costa

3. Costa Could Play With Giroud And Ozil

I know many of us think in terms of one lone striker playing up front now €“ but that€™s largely because of the lack of versatility in players these days. However, when we are talking about this level of football €“ all the best players have the ability to perform in a range of different positions, and Costa is certainly no exception to this. Certainly Costa usually plays as a centre forward €“ and would be ideally suited to performing that role for Arsenal. However, he also has the skills and ability to play as attacking midfield €“ which obviously opens up all kinds of options for Wenger. First of all, there€™s the ability to play behind Giroud €“ but there is also the option of switching positions with Ozil €“ which would certainly be hell for opposition defenders to deal with. The Brazilian would open up a number of very interesting options that could well prove to make the Gunners into an unstoppable force. Clearly, there are a number of very good attacking teams in the EPL €“ but this is one signing that would be a demonstration of Arsenal€™s intent to win the league.
