3. The Racism Storm

Suarez has a rap sheet as long as Branislav Ivanovic's gnawed arm. By far one of the more repugnant things the Uruguayan has done throughout his career was racially abusing Patrice Evra in 2011. Reports suggest Suarez refereed to Evra as a "negro" seven times during Liverpool's clash with Manchester United on October 15. He was subsequently banned for eight matches after being found guilty by the Football Association. When Evra asked the striker why he had kicked him,
Suarez replied in Spanish: "Porque tu eres negro." That translates as "because you are black." Evra told the Uruguayan that he would punch him if he repeated the comment. Suarez replied: "No hablo con los negros" - "I don't speak to blacks." Regardless of which football team you support, racism cannot be tolerated or excused, and the fact Suarez
insisted he had done nothing wrong proved he was without remorse. That's the sort of character Arsenal are buying into.
