5. Marouane Fellaini - Everton
Arsenal's midfield is without a doubt its strongest asset. A defensive midfielder is sorely needed in the absence of, and surely now to replace, the ever-injured Abou Diaby but no Gooner could say no to a player of Fellaini's stature. Every bit the powerhouse many have said Arsenal lack, he's a renowned talent that David Moyes somehow managed to keep at Everton for years after many expected him to leave for pastures new. It always seemed most likely that he would follow Moyes to Manchester United, so if Arsene Wenger were to hijack any bid possibly made by them and win over the Belgian then it would be an enormous display of intent. Fellaini would also be a better fit for the club in that creative forward role than Wayne Rooney, who has also been linked to the club numerous times.
