Arsenal Transfers: 6 Strikers Wenger Must Sign Before Deadline Day
4. Wilfried Bony
Wilfried Bony is facing an uncertain future at Swansea City this summer with a series of Premier League clubs chasing his services, including Newcastle, West Ham and Arsenal. Swans boss Garry Monk has admitted his club cannot allow these doubts to linger until deadline day and has issued a hands-off warning to interested suitors, saying the Ivorian will not be sold unless an "astronomical offer" is received. It has been reported that Bony has a £19 million buy-out clause in his contract, meaning the likes of Arsenal will have to cough up a sizable chunk of cash if they are to lure the striker away from Liberty Stadium. Even so, £19 million doesn't appear a huge amount in the wake of Manchester United's £59.7 million capture of Angel Di Maria this week and Bony would certainly be worth it. He scored 16 Premier League goals in 34 appearances during his debut season with the Swans last term, while his goal-scoring record while playing in Holland with Vitesse was awesome, with the 25-year-old netting a scorching 31 goals in 30 Eredivisie appearances in 2012-13, averaging more than a goal-a-game. If he can replicate that form in England, the Gunners would be daft not to run the rule over a possible transfer this summer.
