Arsenal Transfers: 6 Strikers Wenger Must Sign Before Deadline Day
3. Loic Remy
Another option is former Newcastle United striker Loic Remy, who tops a list of names Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking at in the wake of Giroud's set-back. Remy, back at parent club Queens Park Rangers following a loan-spell in the north east last season, could be available for as little as £8.5 million this summer, say the Guardian. That figure represents a pittance and if the Frenchman really is available for a basement bargain fee, there are few better options currently available on the market at present. Remy has impressed since his move to England from French side Marseille in 2012, scoring six goals in 14 appearances during his debut season in the Premier League before netting 14 league goals for Newcastle last term. The fact that he is proven in the topflight makes him an attractive option for Wenger while his rock-bottom market value must surely mean he's worth looking at. Remy nearly joined Liverpool this summer before the move fell through over a reported failed medical but even if the striker does carry an injury risk, QPR's asking price of £8.5 million still makes him worth snapping up.
