Arsenal Transfers: 8 Players Wenger Must Sign

If you want to sign Kylian Mbappe, the 18-year-old who took the Champions League by storm last season, then there's a couple of things you need to know.

First, you're going to have to pay a record transfer fee. The Frenchman is widely tipped to be his generation's Cristiano Ronaldo, and given that he has 15 years of football ahead of him, you can't expect Monaco to entertain an offer that doesn't shatter the £89m Man Utd paid for Paul Pogba one year ago.

Second, you will lose him to Real Madrid one or two seasons down the line. Mbappe has his heart set on a move to the European champions and a couple of years being kicked around in the Premier League is unlikely to change that.

The upshot is - inflation being what it currently is - you can expect to recoup every penny you paid and then some. In short, if Arsenal think can pull it off, they should move heaven and earth to do it.
