According to TeamTalk and The Daily Mirror, Real Madrid's Columbian sensation James Rodriguez is top of Arsenal's "wanted list" in the Summer transfer window.

The Mirror reports that Rodriguez is willing to trade the Bernabau for the Emirates in order to get game time ahead of next Summer's World Cup Finals in Russia. Even the player's own desire for a Premier League move won't stop Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane from slapping a £50 million price tag on him however.

The 25-year old star wasn't even on the bench for Real Madrid's most recent Champions League triumph over Juventus in Cardiff, and he has been a bit-part player in the league too with only 22 appearances.

Arsenal will have to stump up some serious cash if they wish to land Rodriguez, but he could be the ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez, should Wenger be consigned to losing one of his top players to a Premier League rival.

The Gunners will have to move fast; Rodriguez has already been linked with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as Italian side Inter Milan.
