4. David Villa From Barcelona?
According to reports, Arsenal are said to be "desperate" to sign Barcelona forward David Villa from Barcelona to boost their attacking ranks this season. Gervinho is away contesting the African Cup of Nations, which has left the Gunners a little short of attacking options this month. A stumbling block in the protracted transfer however is the £12 million asking price, which Wenger has baulked at considering the player is 31. It is understood that the move won't be happening this month, and that Wenger will wait until June to make his offer, hoping that £8 million will be enough to persuade the Catalans to part with their forward.
Likelihood? David Villa won't be joining Arsenal this month, but a summer move could be more than possible.
