Arsenal vs Olympiakos - Live On Sky Sports 4

€œYes, the players are disappointed we lost the game. But we have a Champions League game in front of us at home and we want to put things right. There were a lot of positives in the Chelsea game as well and what was not good is easy to correct. €œThe title race is long but we have to make sure the Champions League is long for us as well. So yes it is about how we respond. I have been impressed by the mentality of my team but €˜mentality€™ is as well about how you respond to disappointment. I am confident we will do that well and that is what we want to show now. €œThe Champions League is simple - you need one away win and three home wins. We have done the first part of the job, now the second part is to be strong at home. It is only a big advantage to have an away win if you are efficient at home. That is what is at stake for us.
The Greeks started their Champions League campaign with an opening-night defeat at home to Germans Schalke, but their league form, which has seen them register five victories in a row and score an impressive 13 goals in the process. They might have lost star striker Kevin Mirallas to Everton, but they can certainly still find the back of the net, and are mostly the same team that played Arsenal twice last year as Wenger acknowledged in his pre-match press conference:
€œBasically it is the same team at the back from last season. Twelve months ago I think they had a difficult start against Marseille but after that became stronger and stronger through the competition. It looks similar this year, they had a difficult start at home against Schalke and if you analyse their team it is 90 per cent the same as last season.€

Team News

Ahead of the game, Arsenal only had one new injury concern after the loss to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, with Abou Diaby a first-half withdrawal with a thigh problem. He will be joined on the side-lines by Szczesny (ankle), Rosicky (tendon), Fabianski (back), Sagna (leg) and Mikel Arteta who was a serious doubt despite lasting the whole game against Chelsea, but who gets the nod to play in the midfield. Neither Emanuel Frimpong or Jack Wilshere are to be used after each recovering from long-term injuries. Olympiakos have their own problems, with a doubt over Modesto (thigh), as well as injuries to Torossidis (thigh), Fejsa (groin), Papazoglou (shoulder), and Djebbour (thigh). They are however likely to name the familiar face of Roy Carroll on the bench - the goalkeeper returning to England after stints at Man United and West Ham, but not chosen ahead of Megyeri in the net.
