Arsenal vs Stoke – 5 Ways The Gunners Can Break Down The Potters

2. Give Gibbs Space

One of Arsenal's most dangerous players in their 2-1 victory away at the Stade Velodrome was exciting left-back Kieran Gibbs. The Englishman produced an incredible display in that win in which he produced assists for both Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey's goals - the goals that secured Arsenal's first win in an incredibly tough Champions League group. The attacking defender has become one of Arsenal's most consistent players this season and looks likely to just keep on improving. The young full-back has even been tipped as the reason Arsenal could challenge for the Premier League title this year, an impressive prediction for a full-back in a side that includes players with the calibre of Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski. It does however call in to question whether or not he will be able to progress into the mould of a world class player if he is unable to break into an England side that he is kept out of by both Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines - a sad state of affairs for the 23 year old who has the prospect to become one of the best. If Gibbs is afforded the space he was by an inept Marseille right wing again on Sunday, Mark Hughes' men could well be the masters of their own downfall. Gibbs is fast and smart and is more than capable of punishing a lax Stoke defence.
