The man nicknamed 'The Non-Flying Dutchman' due to his fear of flying is considered by many as Arsenal's greatest ever player. Bergkamp joined Arsenal after spells with Ajax and Inter, and became a club legend during his 11 years in North London.

Throughout the 2003/04 campaign, Bergkamp contributed only four league goals, but was the creative force that drove Arsenal's attack. His unbelievable vision and unrivaled technique help assist main striker Thierry Henry, whom he formed a successful partnership with.

After Arsenal

Bergkamp retired at Arsenal in 2006 after 315 league appearances for the club. Though insisting he wouldn't turn to coaching upon retirement, he then became Ajax's assistant manager in 2011 - a position he still holds. It is understood the Dutchman turned down a scouting role with Arsenal after retirement to spend time with his family.
