Aston Villa To Offer Charles N'Zogbia For Montpellier's Olivier Giroud

McLeish is increasingly losing patience with the French winger who is reportedly unsettled at the club and wants to add to his fire power next season.

€œI was bought for l11.3m (£10m) and I am not playing,€ he said. €œI€™m not exactly jubilant. €œI like to go forward, but here they ask me to defend more than attack.€
N'Zogbia is reportedly on £60,000 a week at Villa but McLeish wants him to focus on his football rather than spending his money on fast cars.
"If I get paid, I can do what I want with my money. €œHe€™s not my father, to tell me what I should do.€
McLeish has sent scouts to France to watch Giroud recently, including watching the player in the recent 1-0 defeat to Nancy where he couldn't add to his 17 goals this season. McLeish knows he needs to sell before he can buy and if goal-shy Villa are to add some fire power to their attack next season, their only option may be to offload N'Zogbia as part of the deal. Inter Milan are said to be also circling Giroud who was subject of much speculation linking him with Newcastle United in January before they instead nabbed Papiss Cisse from the German league.
