Aston Villa Transfer News: Villains Closing in on Barcelona Winger
Reports suggest Adama Traoré is on his way to Villa
Barcelona B winger Adama Traoré is closing in on a move to Aston Villa, according to reports from Spain. AS say that Traoré has agreed a three-year deal - with the option of a further year. If the move was to go ahead it would be an impressive capture for Tim Sherwood as the Spanish Under-19 international has been considering offers from Liverpool and Stoke as well as the Midlands club. Sherwood seems keen to add a winger to his new-look Villa side and has been linked with moves for Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon. Traoré played 39 games for Barcelona B last season, scoring four goals and recording 14 assists. Following the departures of Benteke and Delph, Sherwood has rebuilt the side and gave no less than six players their debut during last weekend's win against Bournemouth. Now that Villa are without Benteke up front Tim Sherwood will need all of his players to chip in and the addition of a pacey winger such as Traoré could add to his side's creativity. A move for the Barcelona B player would however contradict the manager's recent comments that any further additions to the side would be English.
