Aston Villa v Newcastle: 5 Key Battles

5. Loic Remy vs Jores OkoreLoic Remy 2 Loic Remy could be in line to make his first Newcastle start this afternoon at Villa Park. If he can replicate the form he showed whilst playing as part of a very poor QPR team last term, he could have a very bountiful season. He showed that he has some really impressive traits. Firstly he is extremely quick, not too dissimilar to Villa attackers Weimann and Agbonlahor. He has very good control of the ball too and showed his outstanding technique with some exquisitely taken goals in last season's campaign. By all accounts Remy is raring to go and given the chance could prove to be a handful for a relatively young Villa defence. Tasked with stopping the french hit man will be Villa new boy and Danish defender Jores Okore. The twenty one year old has recently expressed his delight at signing for Villa and told of how he is enjoying his partnership with Dutchman Ron Vlaar. It will be a tough test for the young stopper if Remy is anywhere near full fitness. It will almost certainly be a challenge that this ambitious young defender will relish and by 5 pm we will know just how this battle panned out.
