Bayern Munich 2-3 Man City: Champions League Player Ratings

Bayern Munich

Manuel Neuer: Could do nothing about any of the goals, but saved from Negredo to ensure Munich still topped the group. That saved proved pivotal in the grand scheme of things. 6/10.

Philipp Lahm: Mr Consistency found completely absent for Milner's winner. Surprised he was risked after missing the last three matches with a calf strain. 5/10.

Jerome Boateng: Failed to properly track Silva for the City goal. Never been truly convinced of his qualities. 5/10.

Dante: Wonderful assist for opening goal. Put a header from Kroos's free kick on target, but straight at Hart. And then his evening fell apart. Booked for a silly foul on Navas. Conceded the penalty when he brought down Milner. Jekyll and Hyde stuff from Brazilian. 4.5/10.

David Alaba: Caught out in the build-up to Silva's goal. Great going forward, but failed to do the one piece of real defending that mattered. Not the left side of Munich defence's finest hour here. 4.5/10.

Thiago Alcantara: Struggled to handle Silva in the free role for City. It will take time for him to establish himself with Bayern after an injury hit beginning to his time at the Allianz. Still passes with panache in possession though. 5/10.
