Bayern Munich 2-3 Man City: Champions League Player Ratings

Man City

Joe Hart: Saved efforts from Dante and Kroos in the first half. Also dealt with a Shaqiri shot and made a brave punch after the break. Did little wrong, but twice beaten as defence in front of him let him down. 5.5/10.

Micah Richards: Injured his hamstring, subbed after a quarter of an hour. Rating N/A.

Martin Demichelis: Handled Mandzukic well in the air, but not going to get a write up when the City defence start so poorly. 5/10.

Joleon Lescott: Started very shakily with a terrible miscommunication with Hart and teammates to concede cheap corners. Blocked a Ribery volley at 2-0 down and grew into the game. Improvement shouldn't disguise the fact he began poorly. 4.5/10.

Aleksandar Kolarov: Lost Muller for the opening Munich goal, but made up for it with a clinical penalty to equalize. 5/10.

Javi Garcia: Poor marking at set pieces in the first half. Never manages to convince Pellegrini he's worthy of breaking up the regular Toure and Fernandinho partnership. 4.5/10.

Fernandinho: Booked for lunging in on Kroos and that was one of the only noteworthy things he did. Brazilian is not a player with the wow factor. Another adequate display. 4.5/10.
