Bayern Munich 2-3 Man City: Champions League Player Ratings

Jesus Navas: Right wing burst helped to make City's first goal and assist for the third goal. Is starting to turn it on in big games now after a very quiet start to his City career. Playing more direct suits Navas. 6.5/10.

David Silva: Smuggled in from close range to bring City back into the match. Involved in build-up to third goal. Nice to see him back and gave Pellegrini some extra quality. Subbed. 7/10.

James Milner: Our man of the match. Worked Neuer at 2-0 down with a volley. Assist for Silva's goal. Booked for catching Thiago. Brought down by Dante to win City a penalty and then scored a fabulous winner. This victory has Milner's hard-working fingerprints all over it. Graft gets a deserved reward. 8/10.

Edin Dzeko: Booked for high foot on Dante on another wholly average outing for the Bosnian. Did nothing to suggest he'll break up the Aguero and Dzeko partnership. Subbed. 5/10.

Subs: Pablo Zabaleta: Got an unexpected run-out as Richards injured early on. Given a torrid time by Ribery and book for fouling the French winger. 4/10.

Alvaro Negredo: Thrown on for last 20 minutes when Pellegrini brought Silva off. Had a chance at 3-2 to give City the extra goal they needed to top the group, but Neuer denied him. 5.5/10.

Jack Rodwell: Late cameo, so had little chance to make an impact. Rating N/A.
