Bayern Munich Sign Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara For £21.6 Million

Sky Sports. A fee of £21.6 million has been agreed between the two clubs for the transfer of the Spaniard and he will sign a four-year-deal, subject to a medical. The 22-year-old has been on the lips of everyone in the football world this summer. The midfielder scored a perfect hat-trick against Italy in the final of the under-21 European Championships, to lead Spain to their 4th title and his 2nd. The Spanish international scored three goals in 36 games for Barca last season as they dominated the Spanish league but now he follows his old mentor Pep Guardiola to Germany. The new Spaniard coach has already added playmaker Mario Gotze to his side from Borussia Dortmund as he continues to build on the team left by Jupp Heynckes. Guardiola beat off competition from Manchester United to sign his former player in an agreement which also contains an exhibition between the two European outfits before 2017. Alcantara's first competitive game for Bayern Munich will be against Borussia Mönchengladbach next month as the Bundesliga kicks off.
