Best Premier League XI Of The Last Decade
2. RW - Raheem Sterling
Love him or hate him, you can't deny that Raheem Sterling has been a brilliant winger in the Premiership. Most of his praise has come since he joined Manchester City during the 2015/16 season, but to fully appreciate his growth as a player, you have to go back to his days at Liverpool.
Despite being extremely young, Sterling showed tremendous talent from the very beginning of his career, using his rapid pace, trickery and killer instinct to leave defenders in his wake. Part of a feared frontline trio which included Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, Sterling was seen as the talented, uninhibited wonderkid of the three players.
However, a big money move to Manchester City put a lot of pressure on the England international and although it took a couple of seasons for him to truly find his feet, he's nearly unstoppable for the Citizens now. Under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, Sterling has gone from strength to strength, become a more well-rounded and efficient player without losing the unpredictability that made him special.
The scary part is that he's still in his mid-20s and getting significantly better every season.
