Best Premier League XI Of The Last Decade

4. CM - Yaya Toure

With Silva and Kante already in our three man midfield, there could only be one other man to join them and that would be Yaya Toure. The former Manchester City captain was an absolute beast in the middle of the park and was able to combine defending and attacking masterfully.

After making a name for himself with Barcelona, the former Ivory Coast international bought his particular brand of powerful play to the Premier League. He was the perfect version of a modern day midfielder. Physically imposing, technically proficient and just enough aggression in his game to battle with other midfielders.

Although he took on all the defensive duties required of a top central midfielder, Toure also did his part when it came to scoring goals for Manchester City too. While he was never able to consistently hit the heights of the 2013-2014 season, where he scored 20 goals in 35 games for the eventual champions, his leadership and ability to push his team on when required was certainly one of the key parts of their success.
