Things are starting to take shape in this seasons Bundesliga but that didn't stop a few surprise results being thrown up this week. The action kicked off with the first lower Saxony derby in 37 years, as Hannover drew 0-0 with Eintracht Braunschweig. The result sealed the 1,00th goalless draw in Bundesliga history. Hannover sit in 11th spot, with Braunschweig 2 points above the relegation zone. Saturday saw Dortmund lose 2-1 away to Wolfsburg as the hosts came from behind to secure 3 points. Marco Reus' first-half free-kick gave Dortmund the lead but after the interval Rodriguez pulled Wolfsburg level before a long-range strike from Ivica Olic sealed victory. Dortmund now find themselves 4 points behind Bayern Muncih and Wolfsburg move to 5th. Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top with a 3-0 win against Augsburg. Boateng gave the hosts the lead with an early goal which Ribery added to before the interval with a free-kick. In the second period, Thomas Muller sealed the victory late-on from the penalty spot leaving Augsburg 5 points above the relegation places. Bayer Leverkusen defeated Hamburg 5-3 in an eight goal thriller. A hat-trick from Son, along with goals from Kiebling and Castro ensured the team chasing Champions League football took all 3 points. Lasogga grabbed a brace for Hamburg, with their other goal coming courtesy of Beister. Leverkusen stay in third, now level on points with Dortmund, while Hamburg sit in 14th. Borussia Monchengladbach's second-half turnaround saw them defeat Nurnberg 3-1. The visitors went into the break with a 1-0 advantage thanks to Drmic's goal but that soon changed in the second 45. Arango pulled the hosts level before Stark gifted them the lead with an own-goal. The 3 points were sealed when Herrmann found the net with 3 minutes to go. Monchengladbach sit fourth, while Nurnberg are stuck to the root of the table. Schalke also had a comeback of their own as they defeated Werder Bremen by the same scoreline. Kroos gave Bremen the advantage at the interval but Boateng's second-half brace turned the game on it's head, with Farfan sealing the win in the 90th minute. The win meant Schalke moved above Bremen in the table as they moved to 8th, with Bremen dropping to 10th. The other game on Saturday saw Hertha Berlin defeat Hoffenheim 3-2. Hertha took a 2-goal advantage through Ben-Hatira and Ramos, before a brace from Salihovic brought the hosts level. However, Ramos added his second of the game in the 84th minute to ensure Hertha took all 3 points and moved to 7th in the table, while Hoffenheim occupy 12th place and sit 5 points above the relegation zone. Sunday saw Freiburg lose 3-1 at home to Stuttgart in a game that got out of their hands quickly. 2 goals in the opening 10 minutes from Ibisevic and Werner gave the visitors a comfortable advantage. It wasn't until the 78th minute that the hosts pulled one back courtesy of Hanke and 4 minutes after that Werner grabbed his second of the game. Stuttgart sit 8th, while Freiburg are third-bottom. The final game of the weekend saw Mainz secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Frankfurt thanks to a late goal from Choupo-Moting. Mainz now sit 9th, while Frankfurt are just 2 points ahead of the relegation places.
