Many Premier League managers can say that they learnt from Alex Ferguson, Britain's finest, but how many can say they have had 11 years as a player followed by a year as a coach and three years as reserve manager working in tangent with the great Scotsman. The answer? None. This is unique to Solksjaer and it will pay hugely in his favour. Before taking the job at Cardiff, Solksjaer requested advice from Sir Alex as many before him have. He is likely to always have Sir Alex for advice, which is obviously a huge asset. He took his coaching badges while at Manchester United and Sir Alex was obviously impressed enough to give him the two roles previously mentioned. If Sir Alex thinks he's capable, then surely he must be? If he is successful at Cardiff then he will be making massive strides in English football. However, even if he doesn't someone else will snap him up. As one of Fergie's brightest protégées he will attract the attention of many. We may even see him in charge at Old Trafford one day.
