Cardiff: 5 Reasons Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Can Save The Bluebirds

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was announced as the new Cardiff City manager recently after Vincent Tan won his power struggle with Malky Mackay. The Manchester United legend's first game came in the 2-1 FA Cup victory over Newcastle United this weekend, ensuring his side got the perfect start under their new manager. Cardiff currently sit 17th in the Premier League table and hover precariously above the relegation zone. Just one point separates them and Crystal Palace in 18th, while it's only four points that keep Cardiff off the foot of the table. Vincent Tan is certainly a unique owner and he's not afraid to make a controversial decision, as he's already demonstrated on a few occasions. That said, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a decent appointment. Solskjaer has the ability to keep the Welsh club in the Premier League. While he may be restricted to signings with the number eight in their birthday, he's sure to add to his squad this transfer window and the Norwegian can get the best out of the crop of players he already has at his disposal. Staying in the top flight of English football is no easy task but Cardiff have demonstrated their strengths at times this season. With Solskjaer at the helms their strengths will improve and they should be alright come May. Here's 5 reasons why Solskjaer can save Cardiff City from relegation.
