7. Sacking Carlo Ancelotti
Before the tenures of Roberto Di Matteo and Andre Villas-Boas, former Juventus and AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti was in charge. In his first season at Stamford Bridge, the Italian won the double, and that alone, you would imagine, would be enough to have bought him at least a little bit of time as Chelsea manager, right? Wrong. His second season wasn't quite as fruitful as the first and despite his heroics in delivering two major trophies the season before, he too was given his marching orders by Abramovich, the man with potentially the shortest memories in football. The Italian was walking a tightrope following the inexplicable decision to axe assistant Ray Wilkins in November 2010, and Chelsea's season flat lined from that point on, culminating in the invariable dismissal of yet another manager.
