Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool: Premier League Player Ratings
Lucas Leiva: Holding midfielder set up Sakho chance and reacted when his fellow Brazilian Oscar lunged in on him late on. 5/10. Jordan Henderson: Won the free kick from which Liverpool scored the opener. Hard working performance and made Suarez volley at 2-1. Henderson has flourished in Steven Gerrard's absence. 6/10. Raheem Sterling: Young winger blew hot and cold. He is still not ready for these big matches, but Rodgers will continue to use him until Sturridge returns. 5/10. Luis Suarez: Helped to make the opening goal with deflected header. Volleyed straight at Cech when Henderson pulled back to him, but that apart did little. Had a couple of penalty appeals with the Eto'o one most credible. Not Suarez's finest hour, but he didn't bite anybody. 5.5/10. Philippe Coutinho: Put the ball in for the opening goal. Moved infield when Allen injured and did his best to link with Suarez and midfield runners but passing radar a little off here. 5/10. Subs: Brad Smith: Youngster made Liverpool debut when Allen injured. Played wide left and did amiably. 5/10. Iago Aspas: Came off for last seven minutes. Rating N/A. Kolo Toure: Replaced injured Sakho for final moments. Rating N/A. Who was your man of the match? Have your say below.
