What could be the most troubling reason why Benitez is a bad choice is how much the fans don't want him. A lot of Chelsea fans hate Benitez, whether it was for his past comments, or the wounds still hurt from the previous Champions League encounters, or maybe they just don't like him. Whatever the reason, it is clear that a concerning amount of fans do not want him as a manager. The fans were not afraid of showing how they feel about it, with many signs slandering Benitez and some saying "Rafa Out". Without the fans support, his jobs going to be a lot more difficult. Constant boos and jeers from the terraces are never good for team morale and can't be good for Rafa's confidence. The fans want stability in the club, and they know that they won't find that in Rafa Benitez as people are already discussing how long it will be till he gets punted like many managers before him. Rafa will have to earn the fans respect with hard work and wins, and until then there will be few Chelsea fans praising his name. Maybe it is too soon to judge how Rafa Benitez will do, every manager deserves a chance and time to make changes and implement new ideas. But with all these reasons against him and now being knocked out of the Champions League, will he be given a chance?
