Chelsea Transfer News: Mourinho To Bid £30 Million On El Shaarawy
Daily Express, Chelsea are preparing a bid worth £30 million for AC Milan youngster Stephan El Shaarawy. Newly appointed Blues boss, Jose Mourinho, has placed the striker on his shortlist and with the self-proclaimed Special One having the financial backing from chairman Roman Abramovich, a bid could soon be on the way. The 20-year-old has received interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Manchester City, Monaco and Real Madrid but Chelsea are set to be the first team to make an official offer for the AC Milan star. AC Milan president, Adriano Galliani is set to sit down with the youngster and discuss a potential contract renewal ending any speculation and forcing Chelsea to look elsewhere in their search for a striker. El Shaarawy had a decent season in Serie A, scoring 16 goals in 34 league games during the last campaign. The forward has also started to make an impact in his national squad having been used in the Confederations Cup as well Italys World Cup qualifier against Czech Republic last month. With Mourinho determined to unveil a new striker this summer, Chelsea are also prepared to add disappointing striker Fernando Torres as well as a cash sum to try and force Milan to sell Shaarawy. With reports suggesting that Chelsea were willing to spend £42 million on transfer target Edinson Cavani, its fairly obvious that Mourinho has a lot to spend this summer and if they did secure El Shaarawy that wouldnt be the end of the spending.
