Chelsea Transfer News: Samuel Eto'o Wants To Join Blues?

Team Talk. Mourinho is reportedly considering Eto'o as an alternative to Wayne Rooney if his pursuit of the Manchester United striker fails. Former Barcelona forward Eto'o, now at Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, is familiar with Mourinho after the two worked together during their time at Inter Milan. And the 32-year-old admits he would be keen on a reunion at Stamford Bridge.

"There is only one Jose Mourinho. I have played under a lot of great coaches - but there is no other character in the game like Jose."
Eto'o won the Champions League under the "Special One" in 2010, the third of his career, and continued:
"He is one of the best coaches in the world - and we had a lot of success together at Inter Milan. I would like to have the chance to play under him again - because it is never boring when Jose is around. "Of course Chelsea are a great team - and when we have all the offers on the table then I will discuss with my agent and see what my next step is."
Anzhi could be open to selling Cameroon's all-time-top-scorer this summer as they are struggling with financial difficulty, and Eto'o could be one of those made available. Eto'o has scored 288 career goals since starting professional footballing life with Real Madrid in 1997. Since then, he has gone on to play for some of the continent's best clubs, such as Barcelona and Inter. He has won the Champions League three times, twice with Barca in 2006 and 2009 and then one final time with Inter a year later, making him only the fourth player in history to have won European football's top club competition successively with different teams.
