Chelsea Transfer News: Victor Moses Final £7.5 Million Offer Made
Chelsea will make a final £7.5 million offer for Wigan youngster Victor Moses.
The Daily Mail. The wantaway 21-year-old forward has been subject of prior bids from the Stamford Bridge club, all of which were rejected by Wigan who are reportedly holding out for £10 million. Moses has one year left to run on his current deal at the Latics, however Wigan are still in a bargaining position as they would be due some compensation if Moses leaves for another club on a free transfer next season given that he is under 24. Wigan may decide just to offload Moses this summer instead of manager Roberto Martinez enduring the forthcoming campaign with an unhappy player come the end of the transfer window and they may decide to sell in order to recoup funds that could be re-invested back into the squad. The European Champions have been big spenders this summer already and have laid out more than £60 million on a trio of new signings; Marko Marin, Eden Hazard and Brazilian starlet Oscar but are keen to add more to their squad to push on from last season's disappointing sixth placed finish.
