Rumour Source: http://metro.co.uk/2014/09/23/chelsea-midfielder-ramires-targeted-by-former-boss-carlo-ancelotti-for-real-madrid-switch-4878605/ Lightning quick, hard-working and useful on the break, you'd think Ramires has all the essential qualities that underpin Jose Mourinho's counter-attacking sides. Think again. The Brazilian has at times struggled to keep his cool under the Chelsea boss and let his teammates down in crucial fixtures. Few would've forgotten his terrible late challenge on Karim El Ahmadi during the Blues' 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in March earlier this year, while more recently he should've seen red for striking Raheem Sterling against Liverpool at Anfield in November. Ramires certainly offers something unique in the centre of the pitch, but perhaps he's lost Mourinho's trust in the crunch games when there's no room for disciplinary error. With that said, the Portuguese has played down interest from Real Madrid, who are reportedly going to need to spend £25million to pry him away from Stamford Bridge. Following the news that Luka Modric has been ruled out of action until the new year, Carlo Ancelotti may be willing to splash out on a reunion with his former Brazilian enforcer to bolster his crumbling midfield. Should such an offer come to fruition, it would be hard to see the Blues turning it down. Probability: 7.5/10
