The last time Jose Mourinho signed a Spanish midfielder (Cesc Fabregas) was a stroke of genius, so if the Special One deems matching a £48million release clause a fair price to bring Koke to London, Roman Abramovich better have his chequebook ready this winter. Manchester City are also poised to break the bank in order to sign the Atletico Madrid midfielder, so the Blues could have a fight on their hands come January. But there's little cause for the Spain international to move to England, particularly London, at this stage of his career. He has primarily featured on the left of midfield for the 2013-14 Champions League finalists, a position three world-class players are already fighting over at Chelsea. Koke would probably ease into life at Stamford Bridge with fellow Spaniards Cesar Azpilicueta, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas in the dressing room, but that's unlikely to convince him to give up his flourishing role in Madrid. The 22-year-old has burst out of the blocks this campaign, starting all 11 of Atleti's La Liga matches while chalking up seven assists and a goal to boot. Fast becoming a key figure in Diego Simeone's side, Koke's form has carried into European competition, where he has laid on four assists in as many appearances. Not bad a for a player who finished his first full professional season less than three years ago. Probability: 5/10
