Fee: £6,700,000 Chelsea secured the signing of a promising young attacking winger from Genk in January 2012 but almost immediately sent him out on loan to Werder Bremen. In an ageing Chelsea midfield with the likes of Frank Lampard coming to the end of their careers, this young man surely deserves a chance. He is not a bad signing per se, however I feel the decision to loan him out was criminal, as looking at Chelsea's recent track record with loaned players, he will more than likely not be coming back!
