3. Theo Walcott
Walcott is another player whose contract is expiring at the end of the season, and Arsenal have history of selling players to avoid them going on free transfers later on. The England international is finally starting to live up to the expectations heaped on him upon arriving at Arsenal as a 16 year old. He has added composure to his finishing and in tandem with his blistering pace Walcott can really hurt the opposition. Last season was a personal best for Walcott as he scored 11 goals and created 10 more, and this season could prove to be even better for he already has 10 goals and 7 assists. After being handed the iconic no. 14 shirt, Walcott is now seeking to emulate his hero Thierry Henry by moving from the wings to a central striker role. Walcott is frustrated at not being given the chance to do this as well as Arsenal not agreeing to his wage demands which are estimated to be around the £100,000 a week mark. Although he would face abuse for following Ashley Cole from Arsenal to Chelsea, a move is very much on the table if his contract standoff with the north London club continues.
