Chelsea Transfers: 5 Players Conte Still Needs To Get Rid Of

3. Nathaniel Chalobah

The talent of Nathaniel Chalobah is no secret.

He has been talked about for years, having been tossed from club to club and excelling for the national team at underage levels. The Sierra Leone-born midfielder has always been tipped to make it big, which is why Chelsea have been so reluctant to cut the chord, instead farming him out on loan six times - including to Napoli last season.

However, Chalobah is 22 this season and looks no closer to breaking into the team. With Chelsea traditionally relying on their wallet rather than their academy, it looks as though Chalobah might have to leave if he is to carve out a future in the game.

With Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and the newly-acquired N’Golo Kante blocking his path, it may be time for Chalobah to face facts and sign for a Championship club or bottom-half Premier League team on a permanent basis.
