6. Christian Atsu
With a midfield currently bursting at the seams with attacking midfielders and widemen, you can't help wonder why on earth Chelsea need Christian Atsu. This season at least, they don't, because the 21-year-old winger has joined Cristian Cuevas in going out on loan to Vitesse for 12 months. The former Rio Ave man impressed at the Portuguese club, scoring six times and providing four assists in 27 appearances, but he was virtually anonymous during his season-long stay at Porto a year later, registering one goal and an assist in 17 games. Atsu arrived for
£3.5 million and with the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Andre Schurrle all above him in the pecking order, you have to question how good of an investment this one is.
