Chelsea Transfers: Ranking Jose Mourinho's Signings From Worst To Best

5. Stipe Perica

Stipe Perica on the other hand is a good investment. The 18-year-old arrived last month from Croatian outfit NK Zadar but was instantly loaned back out to NAC Breda for the rest of the season. The Croatian looks like a real talent though and the forward netted ten goals in 23 games for Zadar in his final season, form which encouraged Roman Abramovich to green light the move for the starlet, who has also attracted interest from Manchester City. Chelsea are going to need new strikers in the seasons to come with the likes of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba facing uncertain futures, while Samuel Eto'o (more on him later) will likely retire at the end of this campaign. There could be an opportunity then for Perica to establish himself in the first-team set-up in the seasons to come in a youthful front-line also including Romelu Lukaku.
