Chelsea's 10 Most Hated Players

7. David Luiz

David Luiz evoked the fury of Manchester United fans and manager Sir Alex Ferguson alike in May last year during a typically combustible clash between Chelsea and United that ended up in a 1-0 win for the Blues and a harsh red card for Red Devils defender Rafael. During a tussle between Luiz and Rafael near the corner flag, Luiz could be seen throwing out an elbow at his compatriot as the right-back attempted to win the ball. Rafael lost his temper and came in hard on Luiz, who promptly threw himself to ground and, in Ferguson's own words, rolled around €œlike a dying swan€. Worse still, the Chelsea defender was smirking the whole time, feigning injury while glancing over at the referee from time to time to see if he had gotten Rafael sent off. He had. Luiz was promptly hammered by the press in the wake of the scandal, with many calling his behaviour disgraceful and unsporting. Known for his hot-headed attitude and mocked for his "Sideshow Bob" haircut, Luiz is another former Chelsea star who won't be winning any popularity contests any time soon.
