If you are analysing this fight with a clear mind and no bias, it's hard to come to a conclusion where Conor McGregor wins this fight. While Mayweather is not famed for his knockout power, McGregor did tire badly in both of his fights with Nate Diaz last year, and Floyd will likely try and frustrate Conor. Assuming the game plan works, Conor will tire, and this will leave openings for Mayweather to pick him off and look for the finish.

McGregor is a tough guy who went 25 minutes with Diaz back in August in a crazy fight. To go 36 minutes with Mayweather, even if he's on the end of a lopsided decision would be no great embarrassment by any stretch of the imagination. The pressure is all on Floyd for this fight, there's no question of that.

Conor McGregor is the ultimate salesman. It's not just that he 100% believes he can win this fight. He 100% believes he will win this fight. Many people picked him to lose the Aldo fight, and he knocked him out with one punch. Many people believe Eddie Alvarez would have his way with them, but in the end McGregor demolished him.

If McGregor can use his size and range effectively, or if Mayweather gets a little too cocky, then anything can happen. But the best price you get on Mayweather is 1/7 right now (some places are as long as 1/12) and that's for a good reason. This is Mayweather's world, and anything other than a dominant victory would be seen as a disappointment for him.

It would be remiss not to mention that this entire situation is a little bit of a freak show. 49-0 vs. 0-0 in any world is at best strange and at worst ludicrous. But when it's two of the biggest stars in the history of combat sports, logic goes out the window. A lot of people are uncomfortable with the fact that this fight is being licensed, and that's understandable.

The build up for this could be incredible and come August 26th, the world will be watching to see a spectacle the likes of which we've never really seen before.
