David Haye vs Tyson Fury Fight Agreed
All systems seem to be go for a British Super-Fight this coming September as "retired" former Heavyweight Champion David Haye has agreed to take on the mouthy Manc, Tyson Fury later this year. In what would surely be an entertaining build up to this fight, with both men very fond of their own voices, fans would surely anticiapte this contest more than any other domestic fight in recent memory. David Haye posted a short video on to his Instagram account taunting the unbeaten Fury. The Hayemaker also signed what appeared to be a contract giving his seal of approval to the Super-Fight this September 28. Surely now there are no roadblocks in the way of this must-see contest, Boxing fans however will know that all is never as it seems in this Sport. Initially Fury was demanding an 80-20 split of the purse, claiming he was the man in the heavyweight division, "Haye is a 'has-been' and I'm what's in fashion at the moment in the heavyweight division so I should get the lion's share," Fury told Sky Sports News. His stance on that front appears to have changed slightly, perhaps realising how ludicrous those demands were, in a video posted on YouTube, Fury suggested a winner-takes all bout in a bid to convince Haye to fight, saying 'If its all about the money and percentages, why we don't we do a winner takes all? 'If you think you can win, come and take my 50 per cent as well. I believe I'm going to knock you out.' Fighting words if ever there were any. All we need now is for the un-defeated Fury to put his money, where his mouth is; having repeatedly called Haye out and bad mouthed his rival in recent weeks it shouldn't be a problem. Let's hope not, as this would be one of the most eagerly anticipated fights for many's a year between to characters which most Boxing fans love to hate. Let's watch this one un-fold.
