Dinamo Tbilisi 0-5 Spurs - 5 Key Things We Learned

5. The New Signings Are Gelling

Something that was great to see in Tbilisi was the contribution of all four of Spurs summer signings. Roberto Soldado helped himself to two goals - meaning he now has 3 in 2 competitive matches for Spurs - while Paulinho opened his account with a headed finish, grabbed an assist for Townsend's opener and was impressively composed in possession, Etienne Capoue was a physical monster in midfield, winning every tussle and tackle and driving forward with the ball every time he got it and Nacer Chadli, having only been on the pitch for half an hour, assisted with 2 of Spurs' 5 goals. Danny Rose and Andros Townsend, who are effectively like new signings after their loan spells away from the club last season, both impressed and both got on the scoresheet as well. The fact that Spurs' new signings are settling in so easily and so quickly is great news for the Lilywhites and, with more signings potentially on the way, the future is looking bright for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
