England's Euro 2021 Starting XI

3. Jadon Sancho - Right Winger

Potential candidate: Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The young winger took a big gamble when moving to Germany, but it has paid off magnificently. He is a constant presence in a Borussia Dortmund side that was fighting for the Bundesliga title until Bayern Munich won it for the eighth season in a row. In 30 appearances he has 17 goals and 17 assists. Numbers unmatched by any other England player.

At 20 years of age, Jadon Sancho is already one of the best wingers in the world with numerous clubs looking to buy him as quickly as possible. Manchester United are particularly keen and a move back to the Premier League wouldn't hurt his chances of getting into the starting 11. Even if he stays put, there is no chance that Gareth Southgate can overlook him, especially if he has another stellar season next year.

Unlike Sancho, Callum Hudson-Odoi chose to remain in England when he signed a contract extension with boyhood club Chelsea. Also 20-years-old, Hudson-Odoi has not set the world on fire like his counterpart, and has only made 8 starts in the league. However, he has been unfortunate with injuries this season. It seems very likely that his England career might be similar to Ian Wright, filling in when better players are injured or suspended.
