England's Euro 2021 Starting XI

2. Harry Kane - Striker

Potential candidate: Tammy Abraham.

By far the easiest position to predict in this team. If fully fit, there is no way that England captain Harry Kane will not be in the starting 11 come next summer. The Tottenham Hotspur striker has 32 goals for England and if he keeps playing (and keeps fit) then it is entirely possible he will break Wayne Rooney's goalscoring record.

At 26 years of age, Kane is only now reaching his 'prime'. He is well regarded as one of the best strikers in the world and nobody can argue.

The only thing that can slow him down is injuries. In recent years he has been picking up injuries more frequently and if that continues it may bring his career to an undeserved early end.

Even when not fully fit, Kane is England's best striker. Well, the best striker who hasn't internationally retired, though even if Jamie Vardy was available for selection, he still wouldn't get in.

That's why Tammy Abraham will have to wait a few more years before he becomes an England regular (unless someone new comes along by then). No matter how good a season an English striker has in the 2020/21 campaign, nobody will overthrow the England captain.
