Everton Transfers: £20 Million Move For Andriy Yarmolenko Latest
Ukraine ace to Goodison?
Everton's ambitions to capture Dynamo Kiev's Andriy Yarmolenko have been boosted, following reports that the Ukrainian international's representatives recently attended Goodison Park. The player's agents watched the Blues defeat Manchester City 2-1 in the first leg of last week's Capital One Cup semi-final, fuelling rumours that the Toffees are the frontrunners for his signature. Yarmolenko will cost Everton around £20 million should they wish to go ahead with the transfer in January, according to The Mirror. Blues boss Roberto Martinez attempted to recruit the forward last summer, only for the move to be scuppered by Dynamo president Ihor Surkis, a man with a reputation as one of the toughest negotiators in European football. Surkis was said to be against selling Yarmolenko this season, since Dynamo have secured a place in the last 16 of the Champions League, but the latest reports suggest that his stance on the matter has softened. Everton's transfer budget for the January window has not been made public, but Steven Naismith's proposed £8 million move to Norwich City could help the Blues stump up some of the cash for Yarmolenko.
