2. Alfreð Finnbogason - SC Heerenveen
Its only a matter of time before a bigger European club takes Alfreð Finnbogason off SC Heerenveens hands and Everton would be foolish not to look at the 24-year-old. The Iceland international striker has been strongly linked with Celtic in the last 12 months but recent reports suggest the Scottish Champions may be priced out of a move. But with the incoming Jelavic money, Everton have the resources to get him. Finnbogason has a great scoring record in Eredivisie and an exceptional one this season. In 15 league appearance this season he has scored 17 goals. Last season he notched 24 goals in 33 Eredivise games in a Heerenveen side that finished 8th and 34 points behind champions Ajax. Roma, AC Milan, Celtic and Villarreal are all reportedly after the goal scorer but his agent, Kees Ploegsma, has hinted his client might wait until the summer to leave. He said: I think in June he will make the move. At this moment no team has spoken directly with Heerenveen. Although as we all know, things change very quickly in football and money talks. Celtic were reportedly quoted £5 million for Finnbogason in the summer but that will probably increase. Nonetheless, he is well within Evertons budget and he could be the perfect Jelavic replacement.
