Everton Transfers: 5 Replacements For Marouane Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini Since joining for a club record £15 million from Standard Liege in 2008, Marouane Fellaini has flourished at Everton. His distinctive afro has endeared him to Everton fans and his footballing prowess has courted attention from many. He was recognised in his first season by the Toffees, being awarded the Young Player of the Year and his game has continued to grow. His 32 goals in 173 appearances has helped Everton to constantly achieve Top 6 finishes. So much so, that his former boss David Moyes is after the Belgian knowing that he brings a lot to the table should he become the first major signing of Moyes' Man United reign. He can be deployed as an auxiliary second striker should needs require, but it is his control of the midfield that has courted so much attention from the press and pundits alike, even getting named by the Guardian as the 60th best footballer out of 100 in the world. However, he would like to win some trophies in his career or he may look over his career, once retirement comes, with substantial regret at not gaining any silverware with a runners up medal in the 2009 FA Cup the closest he's come to trophy success. After initially rejecting Man United to join Everton in 2008, he may sense he will never get a third chance and may jump at the opportunity, and the lure of working with David Moyes again. So, who will step in to the Everton midfield and etch themselves into Toffee's folklore. We look at 5 possible central midfielders to do this.
