2. Denys Boyko
The goalkeeping situation at Goodison Park is a point of intense discussion among the clubs supporters, with first-choice stopper Tim Howard having just turned 37 and question marks around understudy Joel Robles's ability to step up and become a Premier League regular. One player who may have what it takes is FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsks keeper Denys Boyko, a giant of a man who helped his club to the Europa League final last season and has earned three caps for the Ukraine. The 6ft6 stopper was one of the heroes of Dnipros European campaign, his good form earning him a UEFA team of the season nomination come the end of term. By contrast, Howard has allowed errors to creep into his game of late and, at times, looks a shadow of the goalkeeper who broke the record for number of saves in a World Cup match during the USAs 2-1 defeat to Belgium in the summer of 2014. With the Americans days between the Everton sticks looking numbered, recruiting a replacement is nothing short of imperative.
