Everton vs Spurs: Player Ratings

Andros Townsend: Continues to be a willing runner and sticks to a shoot on sight policy. To progress Townsend needs to become more of a team player and know when to cross. 6/10. Lewis Holtby: Did little to make the role in the hole his own here. Subbed for Eriksen who has a high-rating and will replace him if Holtby doesn't buck his ideas up. Father watching from the stands, but nothing to write home about. 4.5/10. Aaron Lennon: Doesn't really look comfortable on left flank. Threat seems about half that of vintage Lennon runs down the other side. AVB should consider letting him and Townsend swap so they can go down their natural sides. Subbed. 5/10. Roberto Soldado: Glanced header wide. Isolated, starved of service because wingers chose to shoot instead of cross. Cannot makes things happen on his own against a centre back pairing of the experience of Jagielka and Distin. Defoe breathing down Soldado's neck. 5/10. Subs: Mousa Dembele: Got half an hour in a sitting role. Passing is decent and AVB's go to guy. 5/10. Gylfi Sigurdsson: Came on and worked Howard. Impact sub role seems to suit Sigurdsson. 5.5/10. Christian Eriksen: Brief appearance meant he couldn't get a grip on this game. Eriksen will play in the hole regularly eventually. Rating N/A. Who was your man of the match? Have your say below.
