17. Tim Cahill
A Socceroo with the heart of a lion and the aerial attributes of a man twice his height, Tim Cahill was the bargain of the 2004-05 season and arguably Moyess greatest recruit. The Australia international joined the Toffees from Millwall for just £1.5 million during the pre-season and made an immediate impact in a blue shirt. The pint-sized forward finished the season as Evertons top goalscorer with 12 strikes in all competitions and was named as the fans Player of the Season. After eight successful years at Goodison, Cahill left to play in Major League Soccer with New York Red Bulls for two seasons. He has since passed through the Chinese Super Leagues revolving door with Shanghai Shenhua and is currently without a club.
